Peyton served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Martin Hoffman of the 68th Civil District Court of Texas in Dallas, while attending SMU Dedman School of Law. While interning for Judge Hoffman, she drafted briefs on matters before the court. Peyton also served as a legal intern for the Texas Medical Board, where she drafted briefs on novel legal issues that arise in the medical field and participated in administrative disciplinary hearings. Peyton also participated in SMU Dedman School of Law’s W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic during her second and third years, where the Texas State Bar granted her student associate status, allowing her to represent clients in court under the supervision of the clinic’s director.
