Senior Attorney

Elisa Reiter joined Underwood Perkins in 2021 as a Senior attorney after practicing law as a solo practitioner for over 30 years. She prides herself on her tenacious advocacy in family and child focused proceedings. Martindale-Hubbell granted her “AV Preeminent Rating” as a family law trial lawyer, the highest level of professional excellence for legal expertise and ethical standards.

Ms. Reiter continues her work in divorces, modifications, child support, custody, grandparent rights, and child welfare cases. She tackles the most challenging matters, including parental alienation and reunification cases. Her practice has expanded into LGBT issues and elder law. Clients turn to her to draft thorough cohabitation, premarital, and post-marital agreements, which often prevent many future family law struggles.

Ms. Reiter is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law and Child Welfare Law, a prolific author with articles published in Texas Lawyer, New York Law Journal, National Law Journal, Family Lawyer Magazine and Divorce Magazine. Past publications include “Reunification Therapy”, and “A divorce pitfall: covert or overt narcissists hiding in plain sight”.
